The packages found in this section of the site are provided, maintained, and moderated by the community. ALL tabs are now in their single process. Everything works just fine and like it used to be. Is this expected behavior from chrome? If not, what caused it, and how can i fix it?ĮDIT: Tried the "-process-per-tab" optionĮDIT 2: Tried an older version of Chrome (.97). Has Chrome changed some things, which caused this behavior? I noticed this behavior first a week ago, or so. CPU: AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor.Notable chrome extensions: AutoPatchWork, Hover Zoom+, Link Grabber, Linkclump, OneTab, RES 4.6.1, SmoothScroll, TabDupectomy, Tampermonkey, uBlock Origins.Tested chrome on a different PC with similar specs (see below) and with "Chrome Portable" on the same PC. Process takes one full core and a little more (20%), but chrome is unresponsive while loading tabs. While the tabs are loading, chrome task manager shows the same thing like windows task manager. I have to wait for the tab to be fully loaded. I also can't really close tabs in chrome, which aren't fully loaded through middle mouse button or CTRL+W. If i kill this process through task manager, only the new tabs are "killed". until i open some more.Īll the tabs i'm opening, spawn in an single process, which sometimes takes up to 2GB RAM and sometimes more. While chrome loads the tabs in the background, i can't do anything in chrome.ītw, Same thing happens on other sites, too.Īfter chrome is done loading, everything is smooth again, even with +60 tabs. The mouse cursor doesn't change its appearance (hand for links and so on), i can't scroll smoothly through the site and so on. The first few (1-2) are no problem, but after that, chrome decides to lag heavily, if i want to open more. I'm on reddit and open several tabs with the middle mouse button. I hope you can help me with my problem, or find the cause.
